New Year, New Adventures

Bubbles, bubbles and more bubbles....who knew so much could be done with bubbles and how much fun they could be. In 2010 we kicked off the year right with 60 tickets donated by the Gazillion Bubble show. Fan Yang, truly exceeded any bubble expectations as he took us all on this wonderful adventure. The kids loved him and the show. We then ate lunch at McDonald's, learned about volunteering, jobs and careers will providing the kids an array of activities and prizes. New Year's Eve with Children in Need

On the morning of New Year's Eve a group of volunteers and I escorted 50 children from a homeless shelter in East New York to a day trip at the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum who donated tickets for this mini adventure. We enjoyed the museum, had lunch at McDonald's, provided an array of activities and shared lots of laughter and smiles. Never did I imagine such a fun day would be so impactful on the lives of the kids that participated. Stayed tuned and click back to this post for full details on this event.

Christmas @ Helping Hands

We had huge accomplishments at our Thanksgiving Holiday meal event which we believed would better prepare us for this event. We didn't expect hundreds of people lined up waiting to eat and numerous children lined up for activities. It was true organized chaos. We had a fantastic time and each of us were utterly exhausted at the end. It was all truly worth it. Stayed tuned and click back to this post for full details on this event.
